They establish the terms and conditions for your use of our services. We offer a platform to schedule tutoring sessions with a tutor, and by proceeding, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Our service is designed to help students, particularly parents and guardians of Pre-K to Grade 6 students, referred to as "Students," find and connect with a tutor, known as "Tutor," who offers tutoring services. The site efficiently connects Students seeking assistance and information on tutoring services with a qualified Tutor to schedule a tutoring session. Our platform enables parents and guardians of Pre-K to Grade 6 students to find, book, and coordinate with a qualified Tutor. This service is purely IT-based, offering access to the site as an information and booking platform rather than direct educational services. Our service facilitates the arrangement and scheduling of tutoring sessions in-home or on third-party Online Learning Tools.

Understanding and adhering to our terms of service is crucial for both Students and the Tutor. These terms and conditions outline the rights, responsibilities, and limitations associated with using our service. They provide a fair and transparent environment for all users and help prevent misunderstandings or disputes. By complying with these terms, you contribute to maintaining the integrity and reliability of our platform. Please read these terms of service carefully before using the site. These terms, referred to as the "Terms," set forth the terms and conditions under which you may access and use the M. J. I. Tutoring Services LLC website and booking application. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions outlined in these terms, you should not use the site. Your continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of these terms and any subsequent changes to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Your use of our services, including booking a tutoring session with a tutor, indicates your unequivocal acceptance of these terms of service. These terms of service govern your access to and use of the service. If you disagree with any provision of these terms, you are prohibited from using the site. The act of scheduling a tutoring session confirms that you comply with these terms, creating a legally binding agreement. Your right to use the service is contingent upon your agreement to these terms; please read these terms carefully. 

Tutoring Services and Booking

Before Booking Tutoring Sessions

We require a 20-minute personal call with the parent or guardian to review the child's current levels of performance and discuss IEP goals, outlining the interventions and support to be included in a personalized tutoring program.

Tutoring Services

Our service allows you complete control over the tutoring session, including the methodologies and materials employed by the tutor. This means the tutor can tailor the session to suit the individual needs of the student. For homeschool and preschool students, this flexibility is invaluable. For students with IEP plans, this also allows a more personalized approach. All tutoring sessions must take place in a safe and/or public setting, closely supervised by a responsible adult to safeguard the well-being of the child. 

Booking a Tutoring Session

All in-home, group, and online tutoring sessions must be scheduled directly through the M. J. I. Tutoring Services website, using the dedicated booking links. We accept payments in cash, check, or Venmo. Immediately after a session is booked, a booking confirmation email will be sent, containing all essential session details such as confirmed date and time, location, and materials to prepare. M. J. I. Tutoring Services cannot be held responsible for missed sessions due to the client failing to use the site to access this information. The client is responsible for secure internet access and use, and suitable computer hardware for online learning. 

Tutoring Session Schedule

Tutoring sessions start from 9am until 7pm, Monday through Friday, with the last session starting at 6pm. 

After Each Tutoring Session

After each tutoring session, parents will receive a detailed summary via email highlighting the skills practiced, areas of progress, any challenges observed, and suggested practice at home.

Cancellation and Refund Policies

Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson to qualify for a refund. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in the full lesson fee being charged. Exceptions may be made in the event of emergencies, at the discretion of M. J. I. Tutoring Services. If a tutor needs to cancel or reschedule, students will be offered a rescheduled time or a full refund, based on their preference. Refunds are issued only if a lesson is cancelled by the tutor and a rescheduled time cannot be agreed upon. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

Use of the Site

Intellectual Property Rights

The intellectual property rights to all content, software, and materials available on the site are owned by M. J. I. Tutoring Services LLC or its licensors, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You are prohibited from copying, distributing, modifying, or creating derivative works from any content on the site without the express written consent of M. J. I. Tutoring Services LLC. Your right to use the service is governed by these terms and is dependent on your compliance with these terms. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

Use of Services and Access to the Site

By using the site or using the service, you agree to be bound to never engage in any unlawful, abusive, threatening, or otherwise offensive behavior. Providing false, outdated, or inaccurate personal information is strictly prohibited. Re-registering or attempting to re-register after account discontinuation is not allowed. You must not transfer or use another Student’s M. J. I. Tutoring Services LLC booked services for another person, nor use the site for any commercial solicitation purposes. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

Discontinuation and Breach of Terms

M. J. I. Tutoring Services LLC reserves the right to immediately suspend and/or discontinue your use of the service and access to the site if you violate any terms and conditions or undertake any illegal activity. If you breach these terms, this can result in the discontinuation of your services.

M. J. I. Tutoring Services LLC reserves the right at any time in its sole discretion to block users from certain IP addresses from access to the site, as a preventive protection measure or in reaction to a threat. Discontinuation of access and use may be initiated without prior notice if security threats are detected. This measure is designed to protect the services provided and other users from potential loss or damage. Complying with these terms helps create a safe online environment for everyone. By using our services, you agree to these terms, acknowledging our right to use security measures.

Applicable Laws

These terms of service and any disputes arising between you and M. J. I. Tutoring Services LLC shall be governed by the applicable law, specifically the laws of the State of Florida, including the Consumer Protection Law. All aspects of the services provided, including booking, cancellation, refunds, and discontinuation, will be interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws. Your use of the service signifies your agreement to be bound by these governing laws in all matters related to the terms of service. In the event of a breach of these terms, the applicable law will dictate the resolution process. Therefore, it is essential to understand how the applicable law influences your right to use the site and our right to use it. 

Changes to These Terms

M. J. I. Tutoring Services LLC reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Substantive changes to these terms will be communicated to you via the site announcements. You will be required to acknowledge and agree to the updated terms before access to the site is granted. Non-material changes or minor alterations will be announced on the site.
